STEAM Carnival

The STEAM carnival is always a wonderful, hands on event!  The kids got to touch real organs, launch rockets, see chemical and physical changes AND touch real snakes! What a great day!  

Outdoor Learning

Throughout the year we will be doing several lessons outside that have to do with birds.  Our first Outdoor Learning Classroom lesson began with a true/false quiz about birds. Then the kids got the change to each study one bird, and describe its markings, size, etc with a friend.  Our next lesson will focus on the different kinds of nests birds make!  Let me know if you would like to help out!

Teamwork!

On Friday we put our "thinking caps" on and worked in teams to solve a different kind of math problem.  We will be doing more of these throughout the year.  As we discussed afterwards, it isn't always about getting the right answer, but the talking and problem solving along the way!  

A "TOTALITY" amazing day!

I truly believe everyone had a memorable Total Eclipse day!  From acting out what happens during an eclipse, to seeing the holes we punched for our names appear as only small crescents, 

it was AMAZING!
